Sarina Roffé, a respected expert on genealogy and Sephardic history, and the author of Branching Out from Sepharad, provides an overview of Sephardic Jewish life in Aleppo and a century of life in Brooklyn, New York.

Aleppo was a major Jewish community in the eastern Mediterranean and included both indigenous Arabic-speaking Jews and members of the Iberian Sephardic diaspora.
